Episode 3: Fetish Fun to Earn More Funds Welcome to episode three of Amateur to Star: Slaying in Sex Work! I’m Aerie Saunders and I’m joined by my fellow hostess with the mostest (Katy Churchill.) Today we’ll be talking about getting into fetish content. ♥ What is fetish/kink content? - Fetish definition: a form of sexual desire in which gratification is strongly linked to a particular object or activity or a part of the body other than the sexual organs. - Kink definition: a person's unusual sexual preference. - Encompasses a wide variety of content, you may have heard of female domination or BDSM, but it ranges from clothing to body parts to specific actions. ♥ Start with what you know - What do you have in your closet? What are your physical features that stand out? - What fetishes pique your interest? Do you feel drawn to anything in particular? What makes you feel sexy? - Explore the fetishes you’re asked about and what already easily aligns with your brand - When it comes to fetishes you’ll probably discover a few because people ask you if you offer them, it’s handy to keep a list of these and research them because there is already a potential client that would be interested in that content from you! - It can be helpful to search on websites that you cam or sell clips on and see the fetishes that models who look like you are providing to get a good idea of if there is an established customer base for that type of content from models with your style and looks. ♥ Don’t let the idea of fetish content “scaring away your regulars” sway you from trying it out - A lot of models express concern over trying fetishes because they’re scared it’ll turn off their current customers but it’s better to acquire two fetish customers and lose one vanilla customer. - Regulars who care about the model will stick around and some will even try out your fetish content and discover new kinks of their own! - ManyVids allows members to sort videos by category so if you’re concerned about it you can move your fetish clips to the bottom of your ManyVids profile and rely on keyword discovery for them. ♥ How to do fetish research - Google, tube sites, Reddit - Browse Manyvids and other clip sites, look at what is selling, look for similarities - If you can imagine it, it is a fetish - Drill down into “sub-fetishes” to find categories with less competition that still have potential for sales - Think of unconventional things that turn you on, fetishes perform great when you love the content you are creating. ♥ Combine what already sells for you with new fetishes - Use content ideas that you know sell well for you (if you’re already established) and mix in some small fetish bits to expand your keyword/category potential while dipping your toes into the fetish market - Look into your existing content to see if you could keyword enhance it with fetish tags that you didn’t know about at the original launch time (i.e. pantyhose, stockings, smoking, burping, hiccuping, long nails, lipstick, etc.) ♥ Consider using fetish content as a “warm up” or “cool down” before or after filming your other usual content - A lot of fetishes can be catered to while fully clothed and won’t mess up your hair or makeup (some definitely do, but also a good amount don’t!) so consider creating fetish clips as a “warm up” before filming by doing an easier to cater to fetish after getting ready for your filming day - If you’re winding down from filming and find yourself sweaty, with messed up makeup, with dirty socks or panties, etc. you can use this opportunity to make a fetish clip catering to those elements (no seriously, the sweat fetish is huge) ♥ Learn about the community for fetishes that you cater to so you find the best keywords for advertising - With balloon fetishes many models will simply advertise with the “balloons” keyword but there’s many other ways to attract potential customers by utilizing other keywords like “looner,” “b2p,” and some fans will even look up specific balloon types. Familiarizing yourself with the community will help you learn more about the fetish and how to better connect with your clients. This applies to all fetishes, not just balloons! - Knowing common keywords from acquainting yourself with the community will also enhance more than your descriptions, it will make advertising in forum based communities much easier because you’ll have a wider variety of threads to advertise in. ♥ MODEL FEATURE: Sophia Sylvan is a Canadian adult content creator who has earned a reputation as a creative and passionate fetish filmmaker. Using her own natural interests in the fetish and BDSM world, Sophia has created an impressive back catalog of content that caters to a variety of niches. *Watch in FULL QUALITY to ensure audio is not delayed!
